Anyone know a type of push button switch, that when you press it, it turns off and when released it’s on?
So ya, it’s a switch that has two terminals. To turn off you press it, and when you release the button, it turns back on.
I need this for a project.

My 45 gallon tank hood light switch broke, and I hate to spend $50.00 to replace the entire hood. It was forced apart at the seam when I tried to force it, so all of the parts are here and in tact, I’m just not sure how the wire leads should be placed on the inside. Anyone whose had the salt make turning the light on and off a chore knows what I mean.Has anyone had this occur and repaired it? Any help would be appreciated.
replaceing the switch is easy
you can buy a 2 way switch at radio shack and just cut the 2 switch wires and connect them to the new switch
and a toggle switch is better than a push button
Bathroom door with push button lock not locking?
It used to lock but since the weekend, the push button just wont go in. I dont know what happened. I removed the lock but cant find anything obvious inside.

How to make a 18v Series using 2 9v?
I am trying to power a motor by making 2 9v battery into a 18v. But i have no idea how to make a series. To make it worst i want to be able to control the motor on/off by a momentary push button. I have some snap connectors and a mommentary push button. Can someone explain it so even a moron like myself can understand. Like Black wire connect to + end of battery. Lastly i need the motor to run up and not down.

connect one battery positive to one wire from motor
connect the other battery negative to the other wire from motor
then connect the unused terminals on the batterys together,they will be a positive and negative.
If the motor rotates the wrong way,reverse the two wires that connect to the motor.
