What do you call these lights?
They are commonly found in motel stairwells, and look virtually the same as normal lights. To my knowledge, they have been around for years.
To switch the light on, you push a button – the button goes in and stays there and the light turns on. As you walk down the stairs, the button slowly comes back out. When it has come fully out, the light turns off.
When they next person comes, they can push the button and the light will turn itself off after a certain time.
Do these lights have a special name?? What are they called??
It is not the lights that are special but the switch. Pneumatic time delay switch.

At intersections where pedestrians cross, do those buttons that read "Push Button To Cross" really work?
I have not noticed any difference in wait times when I push the button to cross the street and when I do not. Does vehicular traffic take precedent? Help???

My computer does not turn on, when I push the power button nothing happens.?
The power supply is good, I have taken it out and plugged it into another computer and it powers it just fine. When I turn the power supply switch on a little LED on the motherboard lights up but when you push the power button nothing happens. The power button is good I’ve tested it too. I’m afraid the mother board is bad.
The Mother Board is bad, or the power switch is not plugged into the proper headers on the motherboard.
A bad motherboard can sometimes result from a failing power supply also. Which is not easily detected because when you plug the power supply into another motherboard it seems to work for a while till the second mother board goes bad.
